Lately

I don't know why I'm so bad at this whole blogging thing. No excuses. Here are a few highlights of the last couple months. December was crazy. I'm just now catching my breath. Whew. I'm excited for the new year and feeling grateful and hopeful and happy!

This was something these kids just did. Some days I wonder where I went wrong. They fight and argue and I'm at a loss as to what to do, then comes moments like these where they all curl up together. I'm just hopeful that they'll stick together in the long run and all the bickering is going to someday pass...

Halloween
We made a gingerbread house on a day james stayed home sick. I'm pretty sure that's the only way we could have fit it in! They were so cute and we stared at it for a week or so before we ate it on Christmas eve. I guess it's starting to be a tradition.
Yes, that is my little girl in the middle. Don't be fooled she's actually quite girly, but she loves her brothers and loves to play with them.

We went to see the Rockefeller center Christmas tree for the first time since we've lived here. It was very cold and the tree was really cool, but we probably won't do it again any time soon. The crowds were packed shoulder to shoulder and I had to punch a few people out just to get our picture taken in front of it. It was fun to be part of the festivities and the crowd though. I'm glad there was a Saturday that wasn't raining or snowing so we could go see it this year.

And it was fun spending a day with Lindsay in the city.

Kyle and I got to go to a Christmas performance here on Staten Island. We got last minute free tickets. The performance was a sad disappointment with a few good numbers mixed in, but the venue was beautiful. The St. George theater. Who knew we had a place like that here!

We got these cute outfits from someone last year and they were all too big! So we put them away and pulled them out for this year! If I had sent out a Christmas card this would have been on it. The kids were so excited to wear these special Christmas clothes. Hazel still calls it her pretty dress.

Christmas pjs. This is a family tradition from my side that we're trying to keep going. My secret is that I always buy them on Black Friday. 5 bucks a set! (At target) I guess Black Friday pajama buying has become a tradition too!
Hazel got this bike from us and the doll from grandma and grandpa Dan. She loved them both, but especially takes care of the baby like she's real! She feeds her and sings to her and rocks her to sleep. She's a born nurturer.
Lastly we're caught up to today which was Williams first day in primary as a sunbeam. No more nursery! It is really hard to believe he's growing up so fast. James just took him right in. He didn't even need me or look back. In fact, I had to force them to wait for me to walk them there!
